Metaplenet (3350) said he bought 780 more from Bitcoin (BTC), which brought its total holdings to 17,132 BTC valued around $ 2 billion at current prices.
The company based in Tokyo paid an average of 17.5 million yen ($ 118,176) per currency, according to a dissemination on Monday.
Metaplanet uses a metric, called BTC yield, to trace the value of shareholders in relation to dilution. The BTC yield for July 1 to 28 is 22.5%, Metaplanet said.
For the quarter, on June 30, BTC’s yield was 129.4%, compared to 95.6% in the previous three months.
Since he adopted a Bitcoin Treasury strategy based on Strategy (MSTR), Metaplenet has acquired 17,132 BTC, the greatest possession among public companies outside the United States, at an average price of $ 99,732 per currency.
