A biographical film by Michael Jackson entitled Miguel He was in process, hitting his nephew Jaafar Jackson to play the iconic pop icon.
However, the reports now suggest that the distributors of the film, Lionsgate and Universal Pictures, plan to boost the release date, which is currently October 3.
Sources said Deadline The reason behind this is the possible decision to divide the film into two parts.
It is not the first time that the film faces a drastic change. Previously, the work in the film script was redone for Reashoots after the main photographer was completed last May.
In addition to the late MJ’s nephew at the head, Colman Domingo will also star in the biographical film as a family patriarch Joe Jackson.
“I am excited to be part of a film that explores both the complicated soul of the legendary Michael Jackson and its impact on music and culture as a global icon,” said the actor previously.
“I am not only lucky to have a rich, complex and defective character to portray in Joe Jackson, but I also have a front row for the incredible transformation of Jaafar,” he continued.
“After seeing it in the essay, my mind was flown. There is something divine about the way Jaafar is channeling his deceased uncle. His talent and his incarnation of Michael’s essence are simply at another level,” Colman concluded.
