Michael Phelps celebrates his youngest son’s first birthday.
The professional swimmer, 39, and his wife Nicole Johnson went behind the scenes at the boy’s birthday party on Sunday.
The birthday boy, Nico, was dressed in a racing driver’s outfit as he posed next to his personalized birthday cake in some photos.
Michael, Nicole and their three oldest children, Boomer, 8, Beckett, 6, and Maverick, 5, also joined the baby for a family photo, with all of Nico’s siblings sporting “Pit Crew” T-shirts.
“And just like that… we have a 1-year-old boy. Happy birthday Nico,” the couple wrote in their caption. “You love your siblings and your puppies, cottage cheese, blueberries and being outdoors. We are grateful for your first season of life together.”
Nico has appeared on his father’s Instagram network several times; previously, in August, when the retired swimmer posted a series of photos from the 2024 Olympics.
In the footage, the father-son duo could be seen strolling around the French city while exploring the Eiffel Tower and watching the games from the stands.
