The disruption affected business communities widely.
Reports of technical failures began arriving early in the afternoon on Thursday, January 22, affecting major productivity platforms such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams.
DownDetector confirmed that more than 45,000 reports were logged for Microsoft 365 and around 40,000 for Outlook.
This made it difficult to send or receive emails, access files, or join team meetings.
