- Microsoft has added new functions with the Windows Photos application

Microsoft has launched a new update for the application photos of Windows, which adds co -driver support and a variety of new features designed to make the program easier to use and useful in general.
As seen by Mspoweruser, the greatest change in the Windows Photos application is the new co -pilot button, which is now available for some internal users.
The new features backed by the company’s assistant include the improved recognition of optical characters (OCR) with web search integration, which includes the ability to scan text with more than 160 recognized languages.
In addition, the new update has added a “Search on the web” button, which will scan the text within the images and options present depending on them, which is said to be particularly useful to find sources of documents and screenshots.
The new rapid access drop -down menu that has more advanced options to edit images is also fed by Copilot. Currently, these are: edit with photos, delete objects with photos, create with designer and visual search with bing (if you want to use the search engine backed by Microsoft specifically).
Possibly less exciting (but still useful) are the new direct accesses available in File Explorer, which can also be used from the desktop. They offer simple access with a single click to the drop -down menu mentioned above without even needing to be in application (or look at images).
Copilot not only offers creation options, but also improvements through the gallery of photos application. The images are now shown in subfolders, maintaining the most organized things with suggestions for content types. A new dedicated button offers editing functionality with AI with tips to improve an image in different ways.
Microsoft has also introduced some minor corrections of errors, including the small reviews of the image creator and the pempileo image characteristics for Copilot, which is said to accelerate things. It also means that generated images can be saved under different names without as much trouble as before.
All these changes are slowly feeding Windows experts, so it is unknown exactly when everyone will benefit from the new changes, but we estimate that it will be in the coming weeks.
A case of genuine use for photos and co -pilot application
It is fair to say that the application photos in Windows 11 has never been something I would have liked to have spent a long time.
For most people, it is a simple (and generally fast enough) way to navigate through images saved on the hard drive and little else. However, backed by Copilot, there are now a set of new features that are offered, which include recognition of images and powerful editing tools that could give it more reasons to open it and play with things.
Since its launch in February 2023, Microsoft Copilot has become a major focus of the company’s strategy, particularly some of the best laptops and the best ultrabooks.
Of course, to use most of these characteristics, you will need a laptop with an NPU (neural processing unit) to use AI workloads first.
