- The Copilot Function for Xbox Games will be released in Mobile in April for Xbox Insiders
- Copilot is an AI partner to improve Xbox’s experience
- The tool will help players in the game and will be “personalized for you”
Microsoft has shared new details about its new Copilot For Gaming function, which is ready to go live in Mobile for Xbox Insiders in April.
In the last episode of the Xbox podcast, presenter Ethan Rothamel joined Fatima Kardar, CVP Gaming AI and Jason Ronald, vice president of Next Generation, to discuss the development of Copilot for Gaming, a new partner of AI destined to improve the Xbox experience (through Xbox Bire).
“That is one of the things we are working on and we want to bring it to the players to try,” Kardar said. “The co -pilot in the context of Xbox has to be about the game, it must be customized for you, the way you like to play and should help you move more in the games, be your partner and help you connect it with the family and communities.”
Microsoft’s co -pilot was launched in 2023 and is described as a chatbot and an assistant to cover everything that can be used in Windows, specifically applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Now that the AI tool is reaching Xbox, Kardar explained that the partner can be custom to help players and appear when needed in the game.

“The AI is going to be there and you can chat with it and based on the trash if that is what you need, but you can really unite those people and help you say when your friends are also doing things.”
Kardar continued, saying: “It is not just about AI appearing to help you, it is about AI appearing at the right time. So I think we really have to think about the experience we build, it cannot be intrusive, it cannot appear in the middle of the game.”
Kardar said Xbox wants people to “try” it because the more people do it, the more co -pilot he will learn. That is one of the reasons why Mobile will come first for Xbox Insiders next month, according to Ronald, because it is a faster way for Microsoft to receive comments.
