Microsoft will do all new accounts without password by default in an offer to boost users towards safer authentication methods that revolve around the raisins, notifications and safety keys.
“Microsoft and dozens of other organizations have taken Passkey’s promise to work to increase the implementation and adoption of the truths during the next year,” Microsoft explained in a blog post.
Naturally, existing users can also choose to eliminate their traditional passwords through the configuration of the account in favor of safer options.
