Wicresoft, a joint Microsoft company that allows the company to sell products and services in China, is stopping the projects and dismissing workers.
The decision was communicated by email to workers based in Shanghai of Wicresoft, who were told that Microsoft work “will be completed” due to “geopolitical changes and changes in the global business environment.”
It is believed that around 2,000 workers will lose their work as a result of the changes in a great blow not only for workers but also to the presence of Microsoft in the region.
The work related to Microsoft includes most of the Wicresoft business, citing a worker affected by the change, with the workers seen that leave the offices with their belongings.
