- Microsoft is adding a writing function to the notes as part of Copilot Plus
- Writing uses indications to generate and refine the text
- The update also improves paint with a sticker generator and the cutting tool with smart culture
Microsoft Notepad is a tool as basic as you will find in Windows. Just a basic blank board to write. But, like everything else these days, Microsoft has decided to infuse the notes with some.
The new notes of notes is called “write” and is part of an update of Windows 11 that is currently testing Windows Insiders.
As the name implies, Write obtains the notes to write (and edit). You can send a notice, and write text in your name or rewrite something that you have already gathered in something more polished or a different length or tone. You just have to right click on a document, then click on Write, and Windows Copilot will immediately produce.
You can send the notice and see what the AI occurs. Then you can choose to accept it, refine it or start over.
The feature is based on other AI tools that the notes block added in the last year more or less. There is a summary tool and the rewriting tool to allow you to adjust the tone or structure of your text.
Really, “writing” is the big one. Converts the notes of a passive canvas into something a little more active and encourages people to collaborate with one of Microsoft’s many interfaces.
Cut and paint AI
The notes block is not the only improvement of the aggregate to the classic applications of Microsoft. Paint is obtaining an AI label generator that converts the text into images and a tool for the selection of objects that uses AI to discover what is foreground and what is the background. Meanwhile, the Microsoft cut tool can now automatically cut and resize your screenshots based on what you think you are trying to highlight.
Now, all this magic of AI is not completely free. To use the new notes and paint bloc functions, you must log in with a Microsoft account and run Windows 11 in one of the new PC Copilot Plus of Microsoft. There is also a credit system in its place, which means that AI tools will be measured, although Microsoft has not announced how much this will cost.
