Mike Hesson appointed the new chief coach of the White Ball of Pakistan

LAHORE: The president of the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has officially appointed the former Cricket player of New Zealand Mike Hesson as the new chief coach of Pakistan’s white ball teams, PakGazette Super reported.

The appointment enters into force as of May 26.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of the former Cricket player in New Zealand and the renowned coach Mike Hesson as the chief coach of the white ball of the Pakistan male team, Naqvi said in a position in X.

“Mike brings with him a lot of international experience and a proven history of developing competitive sides. We expect his experience and leadership in the configuration of the future of Pakistan’s White Ball Cricket. Welcome to the team, Mike!”

The appointment of Hesson comes before the T20I series of five Pakistan games against Bangladesh this month.

However, with the revised calendar of the Super League of Pakistan (PSL) 10, which now has its great final on May 25, it is likely that the T20i series against Bangladesh is delayed.

The initial match in Faisalabad was initially scheduled for May 25, but the series will be rescheduled with the PSL final overlap.

Crick Kiwi player brings a great experience to the role. He served as a New Zealand chief coach from 2012 to 2018, happening to John Wright.

Under his leadership, New Zealand achieved significant success in the global stage. Hesson has also trained at the Indian Premier League of High Pressure (IPL), solidifying his credentials as coach capable of prospering in challenging environments.
