According to the reports, the federal cabinet has approved the deployment of the military to provide security for the next ICC Champions Trophy 2025, ensuring the security of the event,
The decision was made under article 245 of the Constitution, which authorizes the participation of the military in security matters, Express News cited Fuentes.
As part of the security arrangements, the civil armed forces, the police and other agencies of application of the law will make a joint effort to safeguard the equipment and places during the event.
The Champions Trophy will see international teams that arrive in Pakistan on February 12, and security measures are being implemented in coordination with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the provincial governments of Punjab and Sindh.
The Interior Ministry has issued directives to several departments to guarantee high -level security for teams and officials during the duration of the tournament.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the newly renewed Gaddafi Stadium on Friday, marking a new chapter in its 65 years of history, a few days before the Men’s Men’s Men’s 2025 champions trophy of the CPI.
The event had actions by Ali Zafar, Arif Lhaha, Aima Baig, a battery and fireworks performance.
In his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the efforts of the renewal team, including PCB president Mohsin Naqvi, and Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz.
He referred to the speed of renewal, joking about the “Shehbaz speed” replaced by the “Mohsin speed.”
The prime minister congratulated the Cricket team of Pakistan for his recent successes, expressing hope for his victory in the next Champions Trophy, especially against India.
