A retractable roof and a series of good luck during an unfortunate climate in American Family Field led the Milwaukee brewers to complete a sweep of three games of the New York Mets, maintaining their intact impulse regardless of the conditions outside.
If the stadium had been outdoors, there would probably be a couple of rainfall. Saturday’s downpour became so intense sometimes that the water leaked through the ceiling, creating a slippery place around the second base.
The city of Milwaukee has been flooded with historical floods during this weekend, and the members of the Sportsnet New York team (SNY) were among those trapped in cars.

The areas outside the stadium were full of flooded roads and submerged cars due to torrential rain, leaving Milwaukee and its surroundings in trouble.
Up to 12 inches (30 centimeters) of rain had fallen in some areas for Sunday, according to the National Meteorological Service, which also indicated the floods of the river in the Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.
During Sunday’s game, the announcer of the Mets Steve Gelbs and SNY employees were among those affected.
According to the announcer of the Mets Gelbs, SNY’s team was forced to leave his car just a quarter of his hotel and swim to a safe place.
“So they returned last night from Green Bay, they were trapped to a quarter of their hotel, they had to leave their car and swim to the hotel,” Gelbs said.

Almost 47,000 energy clients lost power in southeast Wisconsin. In the suburban town of Wauwatosa, an overflowing and rapid Menomonee river submerged a popular park.
Firefighters responded to more than 600 calls, even for gas leaks, flooded basements, electrical interruptions and water bailouts, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department. Meanwhile, the city’s teams worked during the night to eliminate surface water.
City officials warned residents to avoid driving or walking in stagnant water.
“It is still dangerous,” said Public Works Department of the city of Milwaukee in a statement.

But that did not prevent 33,700 people from arriving at the game on Sunday, and it was worth the trip. The brewers returned from below 5-0 to get a victory to extend their winning streak to nine games.
