Islamabad:
The Government will present its National Mineral Harmonization Framework 2025 in the Pakistan 2025 Mineral Investment Forum (PMIF25), scheduled for April 8 to 9.
The framework aims to rationalize mining regulations in all provinces, ensuring a structured and friendly mineral policy for investors to attract national and foreign investments that a press release said.
The Federal Government, in collaboration with provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltist (GB), has devised the frame to create a uniform regulatory structure. It focuses on security, environmental sustainability and efficient extraction of resources while promoting strategic international associations in the mining sector.
The framework has been developed through wide consultation with key interested parties to guarantee inclusion and effectiveness.
Provincial governments have played an active role in the process. Reports have been provided to the main secretaries and main ministers to keep them informed and involved in decision making.
Its contribution has been essential to shape the framework to align with regional needs and priorities.
