The Federal Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, directed a high profile visit to the control line (LOC) along with representatives of international and local media.
The purpose of the visit was to directly expose the terrestrial realities in response to the repeated accusations of terrorist infrastructure of India that operate from the Pakistani territory, Radio Pakistan state reported.
The Ministry of Information facilitated the tour, providing journalists access to areas that India has frequently cited as alleged militant camps. These statements have long been part of the New Delhi narrative to justify the climbs throughout the loc.
However, Pakistan states that these are deliberate distortions aimed at feeding the wrong information.
During the visit, media staff were taken to specific locations appointed in Indian statements.
What they saw, instead of the evidence of the militant activity, were the prosperous civil communities (houses, markets and public spaces) that contain the statements of “terrorist hiding places.”
The residents spoke with journalists, giving testimonies that further challenged the narrative of the foreign militant.
In statements to the press, the Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, declared: “India has made unfounded accusations against Pakistan again and again. Today, we have presented the truth to international and national media. They are placed by India’s labels as terrorist camps are, in fact, peaceful civil areas.”
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stating: “Pakistan is a responsible state, committed not only to regional peace, but with global peace. We unequivocally condemn terrorism in all its forms, anywhere in the world.”
However, Tarar was also firm in warning that, although Pakistan promotes peace, he will defend his sovereignty in a robust way if it is caused.
“We have demonstrated through our behavior that we are defenders of peace. But they do not make mistakes, if our sovereignty is challenged, we will respond decisively. India, before making accusations without foundation, should analyze much and hard its history of human rights violations in Jammu and Cashmir illegally occupied (Iiojk).”
In addition, he accused India of using LOC propaganda as a smoke curtain for his internal policy failures, especially in Iiojk.
“The propaganda loc of India is a desperate attempt to distract from its domestic chaos and the repression in busy Kashmir. But today, the world’s media have seen the truth with their own eyes.”
Previously, the military assured the higher political leaders that the armed forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to give an adequate response to the enemy if he dared any aggression against Pakistan, the sources said Sunday after an informative session in the Chamber to the political parties.
The session was organized by the Government, where the Minister of Information, Atta Tarar, and the general director of Public Relations between Services (ISPR), the general, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, informed politicians about the current escalation between Pakistan and India after the attack of the Pahalgama on April 22.
