Minister calls for climate resilient development

ISLAMABAD:

Climate Change Minister Musadik Malik on Sunday highlighted the urgent need for climate resilient development and coordinated action to address the growing impacts of climate change, particularly on Pakistan’s vulnerable populations.

Speaking as chief guest at a climate change conference, the minister said Pakistan must act quickly to strengthen preparedness, adaptation and environmental management across sectors.

He informed the participants that the government has formulated a 300-day national preparedness plan following the instructions of the prime minister to prepare for the 2026 monsoon season.
