The Atlanta Braves announced that Manager Brian Snitker will transition to an advice with the team on Wednesday.
Snitker, 69, had just concluded his ninth full season by administering the Braves and his 49th in general in the organization.
The organization will induce Snitker to the Los Bravos Hall of Fame before a game next season, the team said.

Snitker helped take the Braves to the fourth franchise title in 2021 against Houston’s stars. He had 811 victories in his career, and won six titles of the East of the National League and made seven apparitions in postseason during his 10 seasons of his management mandate.
The Braves called Snitker his interim manager in May 2016 and hired him as a full -time manager at the end of the season. Snitker had a record of 811-668 about his mandate, and only Bobby Cox (2,149) and Frank Selee (1.004) have more victories as manager in the history of the franchise.

Snitker first joined the Bravos organization as a free not recruited agent in 1977. He managed for 20 seasons in the minor leagues, with 1,301-1,309. He won the manager of the year in 1999 and 2000 with Myrtle Beach of Single-A.
He won the manager of the Year of the National League with Los Bravos in 2018, and was a finalist for the award four times in his mandate.

The Braves finished 76-86 and fourth in the National League this season. It was the second first season under Snitker’s mandate and the first time the playoffs were lost since 2017.
The Braves are now the eighth team looking for a manager in the next season.
