The Superstar of the Seattle sailors, Cal Raleigh, joined the New York Yankees legend, Mickey Mantle, to become the second switch hitter to reach 50 homers in a season on Monday.
Raleigh Clubó his 50th home run of the season in the victory of the 9-6 team over San Diego’s parents in T-Mobile Park.
Raleight’s explosion came in the first entrance and broke a 0-0 draw. Batting with the right hand, the All-Star receiver lit the fast 93 mph ball of the jp Sears JP Sears pitcher and drilled it at 419 feet in the second cover to give the sailors a 1-0 advantage.

“It doesn’t seem real,” Raleight said after the game. “Fifty homers are a bit crazy, unheard of.”
The 28 -year -old became the eighth player in the history of MLB to reach 50 homers before the end of August. With the homer, Raleigh became the second player of the sailors to hit 50 homers in a season.
The member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, Ken Griffey Jr., did it twice, reaching 56 homers in 1997 and 1998.

Raleight’s home run was his third in his last two games. In the team’s 11-4 victory over athletics on Sunday, he hit two homers and broke the record of the Kansas City receiver, Salvador Pérez, 48 homers, set in 2021.
“I thought I was a great player when I hit five (home runs) when I was young, in high school or something,” Raleigh said.

Raleigh has 30 home runs as a left -handed batter and 20 as a right -handed batter. In 129 games this season, Raleight has an average batting of .247, 107 ranked races and 14 basis stolen to accompany their 50 leading homers in the league.
Raleight will seek to continue their success when the sailors (71-61) play parents (74-58) in the second game of their three-game series.
