The New York Mets withdrew the number 5 of David Wright earlier this month, and the Francisco Lindor star campocort had a front row for the ceremony.
Lindor, 31, said it was “very great” to see the number of retired Wright. The five times All-Star spoke with Pak Gazette Digital about Wright’s special day, and what would mean for him if one day was called captain.
“It was great, since I was here for five years, I had the opportunity to see Keith Hernández, Doc, Strawberry, and now the number of David Wright retired. This was definitely special as people praised him, the way people loved him, and it was great Last Week Feat Fey Day.

“It was special to see him, how much he put in this franchise and how fans were returning him.”
Lindor is a logical option to be the next captain of the Mets, and Wright spoke very well about the star campocorto before his Jersey retirement ceremony.
“I love Francisco Lindor,” Wright said through Sports Illustrated. “I got to know him in recent years. I recently discovered that he played wounded at the end of the season with an injury in his hand, and nobody knew it. He never said anything because he wanted to be there by moving with his boys.”

Lindor said that if the fifth captain was appointed in the history of Mets, he would not take it lightly.
“(Captaincy is something) would not take for granted and something that would not take light, that would be a great honor,” said Lindor.
The twice Gold Glover said that if he was appointed captain, he would not change how he himself.

“It would be an honor and privilege, I would not change the way I am, I would be doing the same, I would only continue walking along the path they established, and simply be as I like, a great privilege, a great honor,” Lindor said.
The 31 -year -old Star Campocorto is having another strong season for Mets once again. Lindor has an average.
Keith Hernández, Gary Carter, John Franco and Wright are currently the only four players who are appointed captain in the history of the franchise.
