“These have been the most difficult and scary days of our lives,” Chelsea wrote in a publication at that time. “Maximus is such a special child and has been fighting so hard. This will be a trip to recover, but we have faith that will be completely cured.”

According to him Mayo Clinic, Guillain-Barré is a rare condition in which the body’s immune system attacks nerves and causes weakness, numbness or paralysis. There is no known cure and the cause is unknown.

“We had our 9 -month neurologist for Max today. 80% was recovered after today’s evaluation. He had reflections on his knees and feet for the first time. He is finally above his weight prior to GBS,” he wrote in a publication about Instagram stories.
She said he continues to work in physiotherapy and added that she is beginning to generate strength in her legs and feet.
“Life has begun to feel more normal. I realize how precious health is now. It’s all. If you are a father with special needs, I have no words for how incredible you are.”
