The third base of the San Diego Padres Star, Manny Machado, recorded his success in the 2,000 race in the 6-3 defeat of the team against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday in Petco Park.
Machado, 33, had three hits in the loss. His first, and 1,999 of Machado’s race, arrived at the first entrance when he tied an online trip to the left field in front of the Diamondbacks starting pitcher, Zac Gallen.
The six times All-Star did not waste time receiving its success number 2,000. In his next turn of the bat, Machado started a ball of pendant rupture of the glove of the Diamondbacks Campocorto, Geraldo Perdomo, became the 297 player in the history of MLB in having 2,000 hits.

Machado became the fifth active player with 2,000 hits and the twelfth player in the history of MLB to have 350 homers and 2,000 hits in his 32 -year -old season.
The star team turned his hat to the crowd while he was standing at the first base.
The 2,001 machado blow of his career occurred in the eighth entrance, when he hit a sliding control in the left field stands for a solo home run, his 15th home run of the season, to reduce the advantage of diamondbacks to 6-3.
“It’s special and an honor to be part of that list,” Machado said about being in the 2,000 hit club. “I would definitely have wanted victory, but get away from that, it’s great.”

The twice Silver Slugger was glad to achieve feat in front of parents’ fans.
“Doing doing it in front of the local crowd is definitely much better, and I hope there is more,” said Machado.
Machado debuted with Baltimore in 2012 and received 977 hits with the Baltimore Orioles before being changed to Los Angeles Dodgers on July 18, 2018. He had 73 hits with the Dodgers before signing as a free agent with the parents on February 21, 2019.

It has 950 hits with the parents, which occupies the fifth place in the franchise list. The member of the Hall of Fame, Tony Gwynn, had 3,141 in his 20 -seasons career.
Machado was voted as the third starting base for the All-Star team of the National League this year, since in the midst of another strong season. Machado has an average batting.
