The Major League Baseball exchange deadline is officially ongoing.
The Seattle sailors acquired the first Josh Naylor base of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, the teams announced. The Diamondbacks acquired the Ligas launchers Brandyn García and Ashton Izzi in exchange for Naylor.

Naylor, 28, has been very productive for Diamondbacks this season. In 93 games, Naylor has an .292 batting average with 11 homers and 59 ranges.

The Diamondbacks acquired Naylor last season of the Cleveland guardians to replace Christian Walker, who left at Houston’s free agency.
Naylor turned the American League All-Star team last season, since he had 31 homers and 108 races promoted with the guardians.
“We are delighted to add Josh as we push the postseason,” said Seattle General Manager Justin Hollander, in a statement. “Josh’s ability to hit both for average and power is unique, and we are excited not to face it anymore.”

Naylor will be located at the top of the Alignment of the sailors together with the MVP candidate, Cal Raleigh, the central gardener Julio Rodríguez and the left gardener Randy Arozoa.

The sailors have 55-48 and currently occupy the second place of Commodines in the American League, while they are second of the stars in the American League.
García, 25, made his MLB debut with the sailors on July 21 after ascending rapidly through the agricultural system of the team after being selected in the 11th round of the 2023 MLB draft outside Texas A&M.

Garcia had an effectiveness of 2.16 in eight appearances with the Triple-A Team of the sailors.
Izzi, 21, was selected by the sailors in the fourth round of the 2022 mlb draft out of East Oswego High School in Illinois.
In 12 openings in High-A Everett, Izzi had an effectiveness of 5.51 in 47 1/3 inputs.
Diamondbacks are expected to be active as the commercial deadline of July 31 is approaching. With 50-53, the team has had a disappointing season and could seek to throw some players about contracts that expire.
The third base of the Diamondbacks, Eugenio Suárez, and the starting launchers Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly could also be moving.
