The gardener of the Houston Astros Center, Taylor Trammell, had his bat confiscated in the ninth entry of the team’s 8-4 defeat against the New York Yankees on Thursday in Daikin Park.

Trammell, 27, started a double of the Yankees, David Bednar, at the top of the ninth entrance, and the manager Aaron Boone asked the referees to take a look at the bat.

The arbiter of the dish Adrian Johnson gathered the bat and the four referees converged to discuss. Johnson also communicated with the Major League Baseball Repetition Office in New York before delivering the bat to an official, who took it.

“It was something that we noticed this series and we asked the league,” Boone told journalists after the game, through ESPN. “He is not allowed to do anything to his bat. I’m not saying he was. Simply … we noticed, and the league thought it was also illegal.”

“The discoloration was on the label, as I don’t know if it was just natural or if it was sand … I don’t know. I don’t want to accuse Taylor. I’m not saying anything unpleasant or whatever.”

Trammell played five games for the Yankees last season, and 106 with the Yankees Triple-A affiliate, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders.

Trammell said he has a lot of “respect” for Boone, but does not “understand” why his bat was reviewed.

“My time there, I had a lot of respect for Boonie. I was directly with me,” Trammell told journalists after the game, through ESPN. “In that situation, I really don’t understand it. I don’t understand it.”

The gardener of the stars said they told him that the Yankees thought his bat was “shaved too much.”

“To be honest, I have no idea how a bat.

“My biggest problem is that I feel a little defensive at this time, even more (it is) to try my character of, as, I am going to do that voluntarily. I am a little lost in that thing. I think that if someone knows me, he knows that I will never deceive any turn or anything like that.
