MLB news: The member of the Hall of Fame, Ryne Sandberg, gives updates on the battle of cancer

The member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, Ryne Sandberg, shared an update on his battle against prostate cancer on Wednesday.

Sandberg, 65, was initially diagnosed in January 2024. He announced several months later in August that he was free of cancer.

However, the legend of Chicago puppies announced in December that cancer had not only returned, but had extended to other organs.

“I wanted to share an update on my health. There have been a few challenging months, since I have been doing treatment regularly,” Sandberg wrote in his most recent publication. “While I keep fighting, I’m looking forward to making the most of every day with my family beloved and friends.”

When cancer returned in December, Sandberg said “he returned to a more intensive treatment.”

Sandberg launched the first launch in the first game of the House of the Cubs in April. The MVP of the 1984 NL said it was “excited” by the second half of the season.

“I have not been in Wrigley Field as much as I expected in the first half, but I am seeing each game and I am excited by the second half and see Wrigley rock like 1984!” Sandberg wrote at that time. “Thank you all for the messages of support. Go to the puppies!”

The puppies have given Sandberg a lot, since they have 57-39 and have an advantage of 1.0 games about Milwaukee brewers. Sandberg played all but 13 games in his 16 -year -old career with the puppies.

Sandberg made the game of stars 10 consecutive years in his illustrious mandate of the puppies. He is a nine -time and seven -time Silver Slugger Gold winner.
