MLB News: The Reds become first team in 65 years to lose three consecutive games of 1-0

The 1-0 defeat of the Cincinnati Reds against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday was his third consecutive defeat by 1-0, becoming the first MLB team in 65 years in achieving such a feat.

No MLB team has had three consecutive defeats of 1–0 since the Philadelphia Philis did so in May 1960.

Only six teams in the history of the League have had three consecutive losses 1-0, and no team has had four defeats in a row, at least for now.

Four of the six times that happened were more than a century ago. The other teams to lose 1-0 in three consecutive games were the Brooklyn Superbas in 1908, the senators of St. Louis Browns and Washington in 1909 and the Pittsburgh pirates in 1917.

In the defeat of Los Rojos on Thursday, the titular launcher of the brewers, Nestor Cortes, launched six tickets and gave only one hit while struggling to six.

Los Rojos holder, Nick Lodolo, was as good as he launched 6.2 whiten inputs and gave four hits while struggling four batters. The reds had only two hits in the loss.

“It’s part of the game, you know?” Lodolo said. “I will be honest with you. Obviously, I want us to write down, but I’m not really thinking about that. I have to do my job at the end of the day, independently. We’ll turn it around. I guarantee it.”

The 1-0 defeat steak began on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers when Nathan Eovaldi launched a complete play bleached. Jack Leiter and the reliefs of the four Rangers continued to maintain the offensive of the reds outside the score sheet on Wednesday.

The irony is that, before the last three games of miserable offensive, the bats of the Reds exploded on Monday when they won 14-3 on the Rangers. From that offensive explosion, however, the bats of the Reds have been inactive.

Cincinnati has nine combined hits, three walks and 27 strikeouts during the skate.

“No one is happy with what happened in the last three games,” said the Reds manager Terry Francona, after the game on Thursday. “We’ll solve it together. I feel firmly about that.”

Los Rojos (2-5) will look for in the race and get a victory when they play the Brewers (3-4) in the second game of a series of four games on Friday, at 8:10 pm et.
