Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz were indicted on charges related to an alleged betting scheme on Sunday.
Clase and Ortiz were accused of rigging bets on MLB games. Ortiz was arrested early Sunday, according to ESPN. Class is not yet in custody.
“MLB contacted federal law enforcement at the beginning of their investigation and cooperated fully throughout the process. We are aware of the indictment and today’s arrest, and our investigation is ongoing,” MLB told ESPN.
