The Rogers family is changing a lot of its whereabouts.
Tyler and Taylor Rogers are twin brothers, both reliefs of MLB, even played along with the San Francisco giants in 2023 and 2024.
The giants divided the brothers before this season began, exchanging Taylor to Cincinnati referees in January, but things gave another turn for both brothers on Wednesday.

The Reds changed Taylor to Pittsburgh’s pirates in an agreement that led them to the third base Ke’Bryan Hayes (Charlie’s son). Hours later, the giants then sent Tyler to the New York Mets.
Tyler has been one of the best relief of the game this year: his 53 appearances lead the older ones, and has taken advantage of the best with an effectiveness of 1.80. His 77 departures were also the most in baseball last year, and led the National League in the category both in 2020 and 2021.
It has an effectiveness of 2.79 for life, which is something that the Mets can appreciate while reinforcing their bullpen (they also acquired Gregory Soto of the Baltimore Orioles).

As for Taylor, it has an effectiveness of 2.45 this season after publishing a 2.40 in 2024 with the giants. In its 10 seasons, it has gathered an effectiveness of 3.28.
Pirates will be the sixth MLB organization of Taylor, while Tyler will be out of a giant uniform for the first time in his seven -year career.
Practically the only biological difference between the two relief is that Tyler is a right -hander, while Taylor is about the left side.

The brothers became the tenth set of twins in the history of MLB, and when Taylor joined San Francisco, they were the first twins to be teammates since José and Ozzie Canseco for the then athletics of the Oakland in 1990. However, they have only appeared in the same game.
