The first base of the Miami Marlins, Matt Mervis, read a launch of the Xavier Edwards campocorto during the top of the fifth entry into the 6-1 defeat of the team against athletics on Friday and paid a lot for it.
The second athletics base, Luis Urias, hit a ground ball towards Edwards, who then fired Mervis and Earth’s ball.
Mervis tried to get the ball out of the short jump, but lost the ball and was beaten in a very sensitive area.

In Agony, Mervis sat and put his face in his glove when the coaches went out to see him, but ended up being left in the game.
Edwards was accused of a launch error and, in addition to its wandering launch that inflicts Mervis pain, it cost the Marlins a race. There were two outs with a man in the second base when the ball was hit, and Edwards’ error allowed Seth Brown to write down and turn it into a 6-0 athletics advantage.

The athletic launch, Gunnar Hoglund, made his MLB debut and shone when he threw six entries and resigned from only one race with six hits while struggling seven batters and won the victory.
The launcher of the Marlins, Valente Bellozo, fought in the defeat, since he launched 4 2/3 tickets and gave up five races in four hits and walked four batters while struggling just a batter.

Athletics (18-15) plays the Marlins (12-19) again on Saturday at 4:10 pm et in the second game of their three-game series.
