Matt Riddle will enter Major League Wrestling’s (MLW) Azteca fight Pay-Per-View on Saturday night when he faces Donovan Dijak for the world title.
Riddle has celebrated the MLW heavyweight championship belt for almost four months after defeating Satoshi Kojima in Kings of Colosseum.
Since then, he has defeated Kojima and Alex Kane in Superfight 6 and won the Battle Party of the Battle against Mes last month to hold on to the title.

Djak can be Riddle’s most difficult challenge. He has not yet set or presented since he made his debut at MLW last year. He lost Riddle in MLW’s shot in December due to disqualification. He made a fast friend with the manager Saint Laurent and found a new ally in Bishop Dyer when he made his debut in Battle Riot last month.
Riddle told Pak Gazette Digital that he is aware of the challenges he faces, but is part of the load of being the best type of the company.
“At the end of the day, it’s like a motivation. Sometimes, when you are only one by one with someone, you let your guard fall,” said Riddle. “Unfortunately for me, it is never an individual situation, even when it is supposed to be. It’s just another day for Bro. It’s just another day for MLW’s heavyweight champion.
“I think I’m ready. After winning the Battle Riot and having another 39 competitors, including (Rob Van Dam) there and still get away … MLW World Weight Weight Champion, I have confidence, but I’m not too sure, I know what I have to do to do the job.”
Riddle will enter the game with some burst ribs that he suffered in a Djak steel chair assault. Riddle still promised to defend the title.

“The ribs are a little beaten,” said Riddle. “But that will surely happen in this line of work. I think the important part is that Dijak is responsible for hurting my ribs. He will probably try to aim them in this match for the world title in Chicago.
“I am looking for that, but, at the same time, I have been doing some abdominals. I’ve been trying to keep the abdominals tight.”
Austin Aries is expected to be in the call for the event. He returned to MLW in the Battle Riot microphone. He shared his thoughts about the game with Pak Gazette Digital.

“I know that as well as anyone to win the championship is difficult, but maintaining the championship is even more difficult because now you are a marked man, everyone comes for you, everyone is pulling for you,” said Aries. “And, in addition to that, you are asked to make means, they ask you to be the company’s face. It is a heavy burden to take, and Riddle has been taking some time.
“If there is someone who takes away the championship and if at any time it will happen, Chicago will arrive here on May 10 could be that day.”
