Mob Lyches Watchman in Changla Gali

Abbottabad:

A mafia in Changla Gali took the law in his own hands and lynching a guard after he allegedly murdered a local resident in the Seerbi Union Council, police sources said on Sunday.

According to the officials, Khan Zaman, a vigilant and resident of the Kurram district, was brutally hit to death with stones and sticks by an enraged crowd after fatally stabbed the local youth Imran Abbasi during a dispute over car parking.

The sources revealed that Khan Zaman was employed in a housing society where Abbasi had parked his car during the night. When Abbasi returned in the morning with his brother to recover the vehicle, there was a discussion with the guard. The altercation intensified, and in an anger attack, Khan Zaman attacked Abbasi with a sharp object, stabbing him several times. Abbasi succumbed to his wounds, while his brother was injured in the attack.

As the news of the murder extended, a large number of people gathered on the scene, burning five houses in society. Feeling the danger, Khan Zaman hid in the basement of a house.

The police arrived at the scene and, upon learning of their whereabouts, broke a wall to recover it. However, the enraged mafia surpassed the officers, took custody to the vigilant and subjected him to brutal public execution, declaring him guilty of murder in the act.

Several police suffered wounds in the violent confrontation. The vigilante body was later transported to an Abbottabad hospital for an autopsy.

No arrests have been made in relation to the incident.
