The president of the Senate, Yousuf Raza Gilani, took the authorities on Saturday to not produce Senator PTI Incarceado Ejaz Chaudhry, despite the issuance of production orders.
While PTI A Abbas Buppi senator was presented, the repeated enters of orders with respect to Chaudhry led Gilani to send the matter to the privilege committee.
Meanwhile, Buppi took the moment to tell his terrible experience to the house, expressing his gratitude to Gilani for his “position of principles.”
In his ruling, Gilani said: “It cannot be allowed that such contempt for the parliamentary authority persists without control, since it threatens the institutional integrity of the Senate and the broader democratic framework.”
He formally commissioned the committee to review the problem and send a report.
“Therefore, I consider the issue of non -implementation of production orders related to Senator Ejaz Chaudhry to the privilege committee for consideration and report,” he added.
Although he recognized the presence of Buppi, Gilani said: “However, once again, the directives on Senator Ejaz Chaudhry have not been fulfilled, which is equivalent to breach of the president’s legal orders.”
He warned that ignoring the directives of the Senate constituted a “breach of privileges” under rule 71 of the rules of procedure and behavior of the Senate’s business, 2012.
Citing a similar disdiba of the orders of his mandate as a speaker of the National Assembly (1993-1997), Gilani recalled, “this is not an unprecedented situation,” and added that he had been “forced” to take similar measures in the past.
He reaffirmed his commitment to defend the rule of law and parliamentary supremacy.

Meanwhile, once presented in the Senate, Buppi narrated his terrible experience, thanking Gilani for his “position of principles” and for refusing to preside over the procedures if both PTI senators did not occur.
Buppi also appreciated the Minister of Law Azam Nazeer tantar for his “position”, saying that he led to a reduction in “some of the difficulties and oppression” against him.
When counting the events of March 6, Buppi said that at 8:30 am, around 20 people entered their home in their house in fine, breaking the main door and restricting their home staff. Without appointing any agency to apply the law, he said that a “joint operation” was carried out, which also attacked his factory.
“I was sleeping with my wife when they hit the door so hard that the lock broke and only entered,” he said.
Buppi also claimed that people demanded their mobile phones, and when they could not produce them immediately, they threatened to imprison their 16 -year -old son. His son was released only after a domestic worker recovered the phones.
Buppi reported his appearance in the Court, where he was sent to a one -day preventive detention. Comparing his case with those of Fawad Chaudhry and Shehryar Afridi, he sarcastically referred to the charges against him as a “respectable FIR”.
The PTI senator said that his only “guilt” was to carry out an anti -inflation campaign in South Punjab, remaining loyal to the founder of Pti Imran Khan and advocating for the leaders of PTI imprisoned.
“These are my failures for which I have faced a punishment for two days and I could also face it in the future,” he said.
It is pertinent to observe that Gilani had issued production orders for both PTI senators one day before, ordering the authorities to guarantee their presence in the Saturday session. However, Chaudhry, who remains imprisoned in the Kot Lakhpat prison in Lahore, was not taken to the house once again.
Chaudhry’s absence on Saturday marked the third production order not implemented for him. In January, Gilani issued a similar order for Chaudhry to attend the session of the Senate on January 14, but was not produced, which led the opposition legislators to organize a protest that holds his photos.
Chaudhry was first arrested on May 11, 2023, under section 3 of the maintenance of public order (MPO) in relation to the violence of May 9. Although the Superior Court of Islamabad declared its arrest under the invalid MPO, it was arrested on May 25 and transferred to Lahore.
