The Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, met with a high-level delegation from the United States-Pakistan Business Council in the United States Chamber of Commerce in Washington, said Express News.
During the meeting, they held detailed discussions about the increase in investment and cooperation in the mining and information technology sectors.
Minister Naqvi invited US investors to invest in the Mining and TI sectors of Pakistan. He also listened to the problems faced by US companies operating in Pakistan and assured that these problems would be addressed in a priority.
He stressed that the United States-Pakistan business council could benefit from the numerous investment opportunities available in Pakistan.
He added that Pakistan is on the road to economic stability, with better economic indicators and that the country’s economy is prepared to grow.
Minister Naqvi invited the United States-Pakistan business council to take advantage of investment opportunities in Pakistan. He also mentioned improvements in the issuance of the necessary non -objection certificates.
The minister assured the United States-Pakistan business council that special facilities would be provided with priority.
The meeting was attended by Charles Freeman, senior vice president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Esperanza Jalalain, Executive Director and President of the United States-Pakistan Business Council, Abel Torres, Executive Director of the Center for Global Regulatory Corporation, and Manisha Vepa, Council manager Business United States-Pakistan. On the occasion, Pakistan ambassador, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, the commercial aggregate and other officials were also present.
