Mohsin Naqvi reaffirms federal support for Baluchistan anti -terrorist efforts

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, has reaffirmed the unwavering support of the federal government to Baluchistan in his fight against terrorism, during a high -level meeting held in Quetta to review the law and order. In a statement published on Saturday, Naqvi co -charted the special session in the Secretariat of the Principal Minister with the main minister Sarfraz Ahmad Bugti.

The meeting focused on the general security situation in Baluchistan, the performance of the agencies for the application of the law and the ongoing operations against “Fitna-E-Hindustan”, a term used for terrorists sponsored by India that operate in the region.

Attendees included the Baluchistan IGP, the Borders Corps (North) IG, the excavation of the Terrorism Department of Contar, DIG, Levies DG, senior officials of the Department of Household and Tribal Affairs and other representatives of the agencies of application of the law.

Prime Minister Bugti reported the meeting on the current security scenario, the progress made by security forces and updates on the implementation of the Provincial Action Plan against Terrorism. He also identified obstacles that prevent the execution of the plan and invited suggestions to overcome them.

When heading to the meeting, Naqvi declared that the end of the terrorists “Fitna-E-Hindustan” would be shameful. He said that militants backed by India and their facilitators “do not take place to hide in Pakistan” and promised that they would be taken before justice at any cost. “Those who challenge the State’s court order will be treated with an iron hand,” he added.

He assured the complete cooperation of the federal government to restore peace in Baluchistan. He said that the center was firmly with the provincial government and that there was a strong coordination mechanism between the two.

CM Bugti declared that the war against terrorism was not only the responsibility of security forces but of the entire nation. He said the action against subversive and terrorist elements had intensified even more.

He added that all state institutions in Baluchistan were completely active and worked in complete coordination to restore peace and order. He stressed that people’s sacrifices and security personnel would not go in vain. He also highlighted the resolution and trust of the nation, expressing optimism that Pakistan would overcome the threats raised by his enemies.

Early in the day, Naqvi arrived in Quetta for a one -day visit. He was received at the airport by provincial ministers and senior officials. Upon arrival at the house of the main minister, CM Bugti formally received it. The two leaders also paid tribute to the martyrs and offered prayers for the security personnel who had lost their lives in the fulfillment of duty.
