from capcom Wild monster hunter could come to Nintendo Switch 2 in the near future.
Discovered by the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, a China-based data mining group has discovered a large number of graphical presets for the game on all platforms, including docked and handheld modes for the Switch 2.
The Reddit thread includes a link to a Google Sheets spreadsheet that compiles all of these presets, giving players the opportunity to adjust their settings in the PC version of Wild cards to see how the game could look and run on Nintendo’s console.
Docked mode appears to offer quality and performance mode options; the first offers better settings at 30 fps, while the second aims at 60 fps although with reduced visual quality.
Capcom has neither confirmed nor denied an upcoming Switch 2 port for Wild monster hunter, Therefore, take these data mining efforts with a grain of salt. After all, the existence of Switch 2-compatible graphical presets doesn’t directly translate into confirmation.
However, Capcom’s upcoming Switch 2 support is pretty solid. The Nintendo machine is achieving great successes such as Resident Evil Requiem and pragmatics the first day of its launch, as well as Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
Additionally, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed in December’s Monster Hunter Showcase video that Title Update 4 (which released on December 16, 2025) would be Wild cards latest major content update. As such, a future port for Switch 2 would be complete in content and could even line up with a possible expansion for the game, although admittedly that is nothing more than speculation at this point.
Personally I think that a Switch 2 port of Wild monster hunter It will be a tough sell at this stage, at least for players who have already invested many hours into the game. Its live-service nature and lack of cross-save support mean that starting from scratch on a new system isn’t particularly appealing.
On the other hand, if Capcom has plans to patch cross-save support, and if it can provide a stable experience on Switch 2, then I’m sure many players would be more willing to double-dip.
