The instinctive reaction of a mother saved her little son from a train that approaches at the Hyderabad train station, in a dramatic incident that has since turned viral on social networks.
The heartbreaking moment took place on Friday night when Shalimar Express, on the way from Karachi to Punjab, stopped on the platform.
The woman, traveling with her husband and children, was about to board the train when her son suddenly slipped and fell on the tracks.
Without hesitation, she jumped to rescue him. While grabbed the child, a train that approached the upward route left them with seconds to react. The witnesses shouted in panic, urging the driver to apply emergency brakes.
Thinking quickly, the mother took her son to a drainage ditch between the tracks, just when the train rumbled on them. The train driver managed to reduce the speed, and the railway staff hastened to the scene. Moments later, the couple was taken safely.
Railway officials then confirmed that both suffered only minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
