- Tata Consultancy Services is investigating whether the attack comes from its network
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), an Indian IT company and part of Tata Group’s mass conglomerate, is currently investigating whether the recent Cyberatack on Marks & Spencer (M&S) originated from its infrastructure.
At the end of April 2025, M&S confirmed to suffer a “cyber incident” that affected its stores and resulted in changes in store operations.
Subsequent reports said that the company had to carry some of its systems and processes offline, and was forced to disable without contact and click and collect services in stores, since the incident was, in fact, a ransomware attack. Online orders were also arrested. The interruption persisted for weeks, the M&S market capitalization fell into £ 1 billion, and the actors allegedly stole customer data.
