Rawalpindi:
Facing a severe financial crisis, the Municipal Corporation of Murree has increased the tariffs for the use of public toilets at the Hill station.
The position has increased from RS20 to RS50 per person.
Parking rates for vehicles and charges have also been increased in the local slaughterhouse.
These service contracts will be auctioned to private contractors on June 12.
Despite rates walks, there is no guarantee of basic amenities such as water, soap or towels in the bathrooms.
According to the main director of the Municipal Corporation, seven main public bathrooms are found along key tourist routes and picnic points.
The minimum collective offer for these bathing contracts is established in RS1.18. Among them, three are in high -traffic areas such as Pindi Point, Cashmira Point and the General Bus stand, with a combined contractual value of RS0.92.
Four other in less frequented areas such as Guldana, Lower Topa and Jhika Gali have a total value of RS0.25. Contractors will be authorized to charge RS50 visitors for use.
In the Murree Slaughterhouse, new taxes have been introduced. RS100 has been set for a small animal and RS200 per large animal, with the slaughterhouse contract sold by RS0.29.
