- The first wave of Superman Funko pop figures have been revealed
- The figure of a character seems to spoil a detail of the important plot of the film.
- Fans have suspected for a long time that this individual was not the one who seemed to be
It has happened again. Only a few weeks after a filtered Lego set revealed our first glance to The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘Villano in Galactus, the first wave of Superman Funko Pop Figures has apparently spoiled an important plot point for another of the most anticipated superhero films of 2025.
Yesterday (May 29), Eagle Eye fans noticed that a Superman Funko Pop collection had been added to the Collectible Vinyl Figures website. As expected, the alignment presented numerous characters that will appear in James Gunn’s Superman Movie, including the titular hero, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor and a variety of metahumans who will play secondary roles.
However, a particular Funko Pop has confirmed one of the greatest fans theories surrounding the first release of the DC Universe (DCU) film. Potentially large spoilers immediately by 2025 Superman Movie, so come back now if you don’t want to know any point of the plot before seeing it.
The Pop Funko in question refers to the Boravia hammer. It is said that an original character created for this film of chapter one of DCU, this overlapping being is the main warrior of a fictitious nation called Boravia.
Given the name of this character, that is verified, or does it? You will see, if you click on the figure of the Boravia hammer on the Funko website, they greet you with surprising information about them that suggests that they are not to those who seem.
As you can see in the previous screen capture, why are there two images of Ultraman, another villain that appears in Supermanin the form of funko pop on the hammer on the Funko Pop page of Boravia? Is this an error by Funko?
Not quite. As I pointed out above, a new villain (which is the hammer of Boravia) that Superman looks fighting in the official advance of the film is not the one who thinks it is. In a nutshell, that is because I and many other DC fans believe that the hammer is ultraman disguised, and we also believe that Ultraman is a clone of Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman. You can read more about this fans theory through the aforementioned link and my Superman Trailer #2 Desglosse foot.
There are also more evidence to support this claim on the Funko website. Look at the image above and you can read the official description that accompanies the hammer of the figure of Boravia.
“Prepare Superman for a confrontation against pop! Hammer of Boravia!” Read. “Expand your DC collection making this villain the next addition to your Superman line up. There is a probability of 1 in 6 that you can find the persecution of pop! DC ultraman “.
Now, this does not explicitly confirm that the hammer of Boravia and Ultraman is the same. However, there is a very specific word in that description that implies that they are. The word in question? Chase.
For those who are not so aligned in Funko Pops and/or have no interest in them, a persecution figure is a variant of limited editing poppop of a regular figure. Essentially, that means that Ultraman is a variant of persecution of the hammer of Boravia, which gives more weight to the fact that they are the same character.
We will only surely discover if these antagonists are the same person when Superman They fly in cinemas around the world on July 11. Given the amount of evidence, however, I would be surprised absolutely if this is not the case when one of the new more exciting films of 2025 finally takes the flight. Meanwhile, you can transmit previous films starring the man of steel in Max, also known as one of the best transmission services in the world.
