On Friday, the National Assembly dismissed media reports that its official YouTube channel had been shut down, clarifying that the platform remained active and that a brief outage was caused by temporary technical issues and not a deliberate suspension.

The clarification came after reports circulated in sections of the media alleging that the National Assembly’s YouTube channel had “disappeared”, and that live proceedings, usually broadcast on the platform and on state television, had not been broadcast in recent days. The claims emerged when a joint session of Parliament was held in Islamabad on Friday.
