Islamabad:
The Health Committee of the National Assembly of the Assembly, on Thursday proposed several reforms in the Admission Test of Medical and Dental Colleges (MDCAT), including the increase in its weight for the admission to the university.
The Committee met with its President Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani in the President. The meeting discussed issues related to the Medical and Dental Council of Pakistan (PMDC), the medical education exam, regulatory failures in the health sector and other problems.
The Committee raised serious questions about the reforms in medical exams and the performance of the PMDC. The Committee was informed that MDCAD will take place on Sunday, October 5 throughout the country.
The committee expressed concern about the lack of transparency, the disparity between the exams of the exams and the injustice in the MDCAT. He suggested that the weight of the MDCAT result should increase, so that deserving students can have opportunities to obtain medical education.
The Committee also proposed a central exam system and the creation of a data bank of approximately 3,000 to 4,000 standard questions for all provinces. The Committee also questioned an unfair disintegration of universities by the PMDC, political interference and injustice in the student registration.
The committee also discussed complaints about several universities and medical hospitals. He directed that rapid action solves the problems faced by students who have graduated from Kyrgyzstan.
