The National Assembly approved on Wednesday unanimously against honor murders and digital harassment, asking for specific public awareness campaigns and the introduction of educational modules on digital ethics, privacy rights and laws against harassment in institutions.

The resolution against the honor murders, moved by the Shahida Rehmani of the Party of the Peoples of Pakistan (PPP) during a session of the National Assembly chaired by President Ayaz Sadiq, condemned the so -called honor murders and requested zero tolerance towards such crimes, said the associated press of Pakistan.

He also proposed the formation of an interprovincial working group to guarantee coordinated efforts to eradicate honor -based violence.

The lower house adopted several other resolutions, including one that requested stronger legal frames against unauthorized video recording, cyber harassment and digital defamation.

Moved by the Pakistan-Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N) MNA Syeda Noseen Iftikhar, the resolution urged the federal government to strengthen the capacity for the application of the law and initiate public awareness campaigns on digital rights and safe reporting mechanisms.

He also recommended the inclusion of educational modules on privacy, digital ethics and laws against harassment in educational institutions and the establishment of desks dedicated in police stations.

The Chamber also approved a resolution that reaffirmed the historical and unwavering support of Pakistan for the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle for freedom, dignity and justice.

The resolution, presented by PPP MNA Shazia Marri, expressed a deep concern about the intensifier Israeli military aggression in Gaza, which has resulted in generalized civilians and the destruction of households and infrastructure.

He condemned the statements and actions of the Israeli authorities who suggested a long -term occupation of Gaza, the forced displacement of the Palestinians and the systematic attempts to erase the Palestinian identity of the territory. The resolution denounced further the use of hunger, siege tactics and collective punishment, qualifying them as war crimes under international law.

The Chamber asked the United Nations and the broader international community to fulfill their legal and moral obligations taking immediate measures to end the aggression, guarantee civil protection and facilitate humanitarian access without restrictions.

He also requested responsibility for the power to occupation of war crimes and reaffirmed support for Palestinian law to self -determination.

The resolution urged the Government to continue raising the problem on global platforms, including the United Nations and the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC).

The senator of the Minister of Law, Azam Nazeer Tarar, transferred the bill of the Denaclientes Protection and Surveillance Commission, 2025, already approved by the Senate, for his consideration. However, an amendment moved by MNA Aliya Kamran that refers to the bill to the relevant committee was adopted.

During the time of the question, the Syed Hussain Tariq of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), president of the Permanent Committee of National Food Safety and Research, raised concern about K-electric request of an exemption of 76 billion rupees in unpaid installments and the practice of disconnecting whole feeders for lack of payment for a few consumers.

MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpur also questioned the justification behind the collective punishment of entire neighborhoods due to breaches by some.

The Minister of Energy State Abdur Rehman Khan Kanju and the parliamentary secretary of the Cabinet Division, Sajid Mehdi, responded to the consultations. President Sadiq took note of the concerns and ordered the minister to hold a special meeting with the MNA in question to find a viable solution.
