The National Assembly on Monday unanimously adopted a resolution that affirms the country’s commitment to peace, but warns that any violation of its sovereignty or security would be fulfilled with a firm and decisive response.
The resolution rejected what he called “frivolous and foundation” attempts to link Pakistan with Pahalgam’s attack in Jammu and Cashmira illegally occupied (Iiojk). He condemned the “orchestrated and malafio campaign” of India to Malignan Pakistan to obtain political profits.
The house reiterated Pakistan’s position against terrorism in all its forms and declared that the murder of innocent civilians was contrary to the values confirmed by the Pakistani state.
In a strong reprimand of recent Indian actions, the resolution also condemned the unilateral decision of New Delhi to suspend the Treaty of the Water of the Indo, describing it as a “shameless rape” that is equivalent to an act of war.
“Pakistan is still totally capable and prepared to defend his sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression, including war, terrorism or military provocation,” said the resolution. He cited Pakistan’s military response to India’s actions in February 2019 as proof of his preparation.
The resolution demanded that India be responsible for its alleged participation in terrorism and murders directed in foreign soil, including Pakistan. He concluded reaffirming the unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support of Pakistan for the right of the People of Kashmir to self -determination.
The opposition leader, Omar Ayub, warned that any Indian aggression against Pakistan would lead to serious consequences, stating that India would be “eliminated” if he launched an attack. He urged the Government to deliver a firm and unequivocal message to New Delhi in the midst of growing regional tensions.
Ayub issued a warning firm against Indian provocation and criticized the government’s response as weak and unclear. “The Narendra Modi government is able to launch aggression at any time,” he said. “Pakistan must send a clear message: if India starts any misfortune, it will be erased.”
The opposition leader described the Pahalgam incident as a false flag operation, noting that the attack occurred more than 450 kilometers from the Pakistan border and had no link with the country. “We condemn the incident, but Pakistan has never been involved in such acts,” he said.
Ayub called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for offering international investigation. “If we did not have any role, why offer an investigation? Doesn’t that imply the admission of guilt?” asked. He warned that any future conflict with India, although possibly brief, would be devastating intensity.
He also accused India of increasing tensions testing Brahmmiles and urged the government to adopt a firm position. “If India breaks the Water Treaty of the Indo, it is equivalent to a declaration of war, and we must respond accordingly,” he said.
Ayub also praised former Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying: “This nation needs a leader like Imran Khan, who had the courage to tear down Indian airplanes and send a message to Modi, today’s Hitler.”
