NAB recovers RS547b in the first six months of 2025

Islamabad: The record recovery efforts of the Office of National Responsibility (NAB) in the second quarter of 2025 (April to June) amounted to an amazing RS456 billion, which caused the total recovery for the first half of the year (January to June) to RS547 billion, The news reported on Sunday.

In addition, the funds were returned to 12,611 victims in several cases of fraud.

The NAB has recovered an amazing total of RS 5,854,73 billion in mobile and immovable properties in the last two years. The office presented a mid -year performance report by 2025, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to combat corruption and put strong resistance to the elements that break the law.

The report highlights the firm dedication of the office to safeguard public interests through intensified efforts to recover bad appropriate funds.

These recoveries are 700% more than those of RS839.08 billion recovered from the beginning of the office. While, 12,611 people affected from different cases of public trap in general have also been compensated.

Of the recoveries of RS547.31 billion for the first two quarters of 2025, mobile and real estate properties have been disbursed/delivered by RS532.33 billion to different ministries and departments of federal and provincial governments, as well as financial institutions.

The implacable office efforts are evident through the recovery of RS456.3 billion during the second quarter of 2025, marking a substantial increase of RS365.29 billion compared to RS91.01 billion recovered in the first quarter of the same year.

Currently, NAB is actively coordinating with the income departments of all provinces to recover state assets and properties illegally by corrupt elements. Preliminary estimates indicate that state lands worth RS5 Billion are under illegal possession and will be recovered.
