Nadal Ahmed, the 19 -year -old Pakistani adolescent in the center of a viral ‘love story with the American citizen Onijah Andrews, has finally broken his silence.
Nadal confirmed the couple’s relationship, revealing that they have been together for more than two years and that they are still in contact despite the frenzy of the media surrounding their history.
Onijah, who won global attention after traveling to Karachi in October 2024 to marry Nadal, had refused to leave Pakistan even after his visa expired, reaching the holders of his dramatic public statements and press conferences.
She had affirmed that her relationship with Nadal had crumbled after her family allegedly rejected her, and her demand for hundreds of thousands of cash caused a greater controversy.
However, Nadal denied the claims that he had abandoned onijah, insisting that his relationship was strong and still ongoing. “We are still in contact, and I have heard people say that I left her or cheated her, but that is not true,” he said. He also denied the rumors that they were married, stating that he did not know why Onijah referred to him as her husband.
In the interview, Ahmed confirmed that he met Robinson while working in a call center in Pakistan, where he made calls to the United States.
Nadal revealed that Onijah had stayed in Pakistan for almost three months, during which he developed a close link with his family, even shopping with his mother and sisters.
“It was Onijah’s personal decision to come here and meet me,” Nadal explained, adding that he had not pressed her to stay beyond her visa.
The media attention, however, got out of control after Onijah remained in Pakistan after his return planned to the United States.
The press quickly clung to the reports that the marriage plans had fallen, and some allege that Onijah had moved after their appearance differed from their photos online.
Nadal, however, ruled out these reports, saying that there was no truth in the idea that he had abandoned her.
“I can’t answer if we will be together forever, just that God knows it,” Nadal said when asked about the future of his relationship. Despite the ups and downs, he emphasized that his relationship was like any other, full of love and effort. “We love each other. Each relationship has its ups and downs, but we are working on projects, and will soon see us together,” he added.
After his return to the United States, Onijah retained his popularity, making appearances on several digital platforms.
Meanwhile, Nadal is still challenging, hoping to rest the rumors. “The media are only inventing stories. If you can show me a video where Onijah says that I left it or betrayed it, I will agree with that, but until then, these are only assumptions.”
As for his future, Nadal mentioned that he admires Onijah’s trust, calling him something that is worth learning. He confirmed that they are working on new projects and that they will be seen together in the future.
Recently in BBC Asian Network, Onijah shared details about his link with Shabana, a Karachi police officer, with whom, according to reports, the United States National had developed a strong relationship.
“She is very good. She is very fun. She is always on her phone. We have similar personalities … because in the morning, we would be a little restless. We were always doing something, but we would get on time where we were going,” said Onijah, smiling.
Previously he also gave an interview with the local media, where he discussed his trips from America to Pakistan and then to Dubai.
Onijah clarified the news of his arrest in Dubai, stating that he was not arrested, but had faced a situation that caused a delay in his return.
“I didn’t go to jail, I was caught in Dubai. It was a situation that I couldn’t understand at that time,” said the American woman.
