The Federal Government has appointed Secretary Education Nadeem Mahbub as an interim president of the Higher Education Commission since the term of Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed ended.
The Ministry of Education has issued an official notification of the appointment that specifies that the appointment will be for three months or even the appointment of a permanent president of HEC.
Mahbub is also a member of the Hran Commission and, on this basis, the prime minister appointed him as interim president under subcllaus 3 of Section 8 of the HEC Law. According to the sources, the former president of Hara made several appointments and transfers yesterday.
Fuentes de Hran have said that in the summary sent by the Ministry of Education, an explanation was sought regarding the notification of the extension of the term of Dr. Mukhtar. However, the prime minister’s office has also approved the appointment of an interim president according to the law in the summary.
MAHBUB will assume the responsibilities of the education of the president and secretary of Master as of Wednesday.
