Islamabad:
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced important changes in its children’s registration certificate (CRC), also known as form-B.
The revised structure aims to improve the verification of childhood identity and close the lagoons that were previously exploited in human smuggling.
The new system introduces specific age protocols for registration. For children under three years old, Nadra will issue a CRC without a biometric photograph or data, and this certificate will expire automatically when the child turns three years old. Once the child reaches 10 years of age, a complete biometric profile, which includes digital footprints, photographs and iris scanning (where it is available), is mandatory
