Nascar Christopher Bell’s driver dedicates Bristol’s victory to Charlie Kirk

Nascar Christopher Bell’s pilot dedicated his victory of the Nascar Cup in Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, on Saturday to conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed in the early week in Utah.

Moments after leaving his car, Bell announced that his victory was dedicated to Kirk.

“It was not pretty at the end, but we made her finish,” said Bell, the driver of the Toyota Dewalt #20, after the victory.

“The most important thing, this week has obviously been a very difficult week. You know, there is a lot in our minds,” he continued.

“This is for Charlie,” Bell added.

Kirk, the 31 -year -old co -founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead at the Utah Valley University campus on Wednesday afternoon. He was transported to a hospital in a critical condition before being declared dead.

The alleged gunman was identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, whose family persuaded him to be delivered after a two -day human hunt.

Other important figures in sports have paid tribute to Kirk since their murder on Wednesday.

The Dodgers of Los Angeles, Blake Treinent, during Friday night against the San Francisco giants, wore a hat in the mound that presented Kirk’s name next to a cross.

The inscription on his hat said “Charlie Kirk” and a cross also appeared prominently.

Chicago puppies also paid tribute to Kirk before the team’s game on Friday. Describing him as a fan of the puppies of a lifetime, the team had a “moment of reflection” and requested the end of “all political violence.”

The New York Yankees were the first professional sports team to honor Kirk, maintaining a moment of silence to commemorate the influencer before Wednesday’s game against the Tigers of Detroit.

Meanwhile, the NFL issued a statement on Friday that addressed a tribute to Kirk before its most recent game, and said the teams will be made to make their own decisions about whether to follow their example this Sunday.

Thursday night’s game among Green Bay Packers and Washington commanders presented a moment of silence in honor of Kirk before the start.

“The moment of the night last night was the decision of the League. It depends on the clubs for this Sunday’s games,” said the League statement.
