Riley Gaines, a former American swimmer from the NCAA who has defended justice in women’s sports, delivered the invocation prior to the race on Sunday before Echopark Automotive Prix of the Nascar Cup series in the Las Américas circuit in Austin, Texas.
Gaines said a prayer before the actor of “The boys” Jack Quaid gave the drivers the approval to start their engines.

“Dear Celestial Father, we met today with gratitude for his mercy that we do not deserve and the sacrifice of his son who was sent to the earth to conquer death, hell and the tomb. We thank you for this day and the unity that gathers us as we prepare for the beginning of this career. Lord, we ask for their protection for all drivers, staff, families and fans equally.
