The president of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, has been advised not to travel to Saudi Arabia in view of his state of health.
The former prime minister was scheduled to spend the last ten days of the Sacred Month of Ramazan in Makkah and Madinah, according to their long -standing habit.
The sources of the ruling party said that Nawaz’s doctors are the opinion that they should not make an air trip.
They said that the personal doctor of the president of PML-N, Dr. Adnan, has been making his check daily. Nawaz has also been advised to install a pacemaker, they added.
Nawaz Sharif, who returned to the country in October 2023 after a four -year self -imposed exile, was diagnosed with a weakening health condition while in jail facing a seven -year sentence in October 2019.
The Federal Government led by PTI had given him a rare permission to receive medical treatment in London. Upon his return to the country, the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC) exonerated the PML-n President of Corruption Charges.
Nawaz, however, decided not to run for the Premier League for the fourth time after his party could not obtain a simple majority in the National Assembly in the general elections of 2024.
