Collin Murray-Boyles’s dreams of becoming a NBA player came true on Wednesday night, but his reaction heard his name called in the Draft left perplexed fans.

The Toronto Raptors selected Murray-Boyles with South Carolina Selection No. 9. The transmission extended to Murray-Boyles, appearing to shake his head and pronounce an improper in a low voice while listening that the Raptors selected him.

Murray-Boyles played two seasons with the Gamecocks and did the first year student All-SEC in his first season and was All-SEC in his second season. He led the conference with a 58.6 field goal percentage in 2024-25. He averaged 16.8 points per game.

Toronto could use an offensive fire power after finishing 11th at the Eastern Conference. The team will bring RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, Jakob Poeltl and Gradey Dick next year.
