From high school, it is assumed that Cooper Flagg would be the main selection of this year’s NBA draft. Now he knows where he will go (probably).
The Dallas Mavericks won the NBA Draft lottery on Monday, which means they currently have the first general selection.
Dallas had a probability of 8.5% to choose between four and 1.8% to win the lottery.

FlagG led Duke this season in almost all statistical categories, including points (709), rebounds (278), assists (155), robberies (52) and blocks per game (1.4). He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 robberies per game, but his best performance was in January when he established a first year record of ACC with a 42 -point performance against Notre Dame.
Flagg closed a phenomenal year with a semifinal appearance in the NCAA Male Tournament and was appointed the winner of the Naismith Award Player of the year 2025, becoming the fourth first year student to be named his recipient, along with Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis and Zion Williamson.
His Blue Devils lost a late advantage against Houston, who returned Florida’s favor in the National Championship.

The NBA draft takes place on June 25, which is when Flagg will know with certainty where it will go.
